The Association includes the municipalities within the natural region of El Cerrato, in Palencia province. There are altogether 40 municipalities.

It includes the following ones: Alba de Cerrato, Antiquity, Astudillo, Baltanás, Venta de Baños, Castrillo de Don Juan, Castrillo Oniel, Cevico de la Torre, Cevico Navero, Cobos de Cerrato, Cordovilla la Real, Cubillas de Cerrato, Dueñas, Espinosa de Cerrato, Hérmedes de Cerrato, Herrera Valdecañas, Hontoria de Cerrato, Hob de Cerrato, Magaz, Melgar de Yuso, Palenzuela, Population Cerrato Quintana del Puente, Reinoso de Cerrato, Soto de Cerrato, Tabanera de Cerrato, Tariego, Torquemada, Valvuena of Pisuerga Valdeolmillos, Valle de Cerrato, Vertavillo, Villaconancio, Villahán, Villalaco, Villamediana Villamuriel, Villaviudas, Villodre and Villodrigo.

In the implementation of rural development programs LEADERCAL and PRODERCAL, Villamuriel and the industrial zone of Venta de Baños are excluded, as they do not comply with the rural development parameters established for these programs.

It covers an area of 1,673 km2, and a population of 19,567 inhabitants (excluding the town of Villamuriel)
